LabApps and LabLISP integration
LabApps is a loose framework for apps controlling exeperiments. In practice, these are the programs that control custom-built ellipsometers in the Optics Lab at UniFr. These programs also generate ellipsometeric data, using the relevant QBerr libraries.
The software operation of the machines is automated and scripted in LabLISP, minimalistic dialect of LISP developed for the purpose of symbolic automation. LabLISP has its own site and wiki.
These three project are crosslinked with mutual dependencies. Or specifically, LabLISP itself has no external dependency, while it is included both in LabApps, and in modern QBerr 3 apps. QBerr core libreries are not dependent on LabLISP, but there is an optional integration with DEEP_LABLISP_INTEGRATION define, which exposes QBerr metadata system to LabLISP. LabApps software is directly based on LabLISP and QBerr. QBerr applications then use some of the mechanics of LabApps devices for automation with LabLISP.
